Astonishing how Sean O’Leary has
married the words of Hopkins to musical styles ranging from folk to
gospel to blue grass and more. There are beautiful and haunting melodies
here, each a perfect distillation of poem into song. Has the composer
been guided by the spirit of Hopkins himself? It seems so. I’ve
been listening to these CD's with a fanatical obsession!
